The MI Paste™ and MI Paste Plus™ Family

MI Paste is the only product for professional use containing a special milk-derived phosphopeptide called RECALDENT that binds calcium and phosphate to tooth surfaces, plaque and surrounding soft tissue. This water-based, sugar-free crème is applied directly to the tooth surface or oral cavity and restores the oral mineral imbalances that cause demineralization. These minerals are replaced, which improves saliva flow and the uptake of fluoride on smooth sensitive surfaces – making it an ideal treatment for:

  • Reducing high oral acid levels from excessive soft drink consumption
  • Reversing tooth sensitivity before and after professional cleaning
  • Buffering acids produced by bacteria and plaque
  • Regular conditioning during orthodontics, during and after bands or brackets have been removed, to prevent and reverse white spot lesions
  • Providing a topical coating for patients suffering from erosion, caries and conditions arising from xerostomia

  1. Brush with a fluoride toothpaste
  2. Apply a generous layer of MI Paste to the tooth surface using a clean finger or Q-tip
  3. Leave undisturbed for 3 minutes (repeat up to four times daily)
  4. Do not eat or drink for 30 minutes

Cleaning Your Removable Appliance

Brush your removable appliance every day as a part of your regular brushing and flossing schedule. Because food particles and plaque can accumulate on your appliance just as they do on your teeth, brush the appliance with a mild soap such as dish soap and rinse with warm water.  Dissolve a Polident, Efferdent or other denture-cleaning tablet in a glass of tap water at room temperature and soak your appliance once every week. Your appliance will taste better, and you will prevent plaque and bacterial accumulation.
